BEFORE YOU BOOK
- What are the minimum age requirements?
You can rent and drive AIDA vehicles if you hold a valid driver's license for at least 3 years.
AIDA online rates are inclusive; please make sure that during the booking process you specify your age correctly in order for any young/senior insurance supplements required to be added.
- What is the minimum rental period?
There is no minimum rental period.
- What is the maximum rental period?
You can rent any AIDA vehicle for a maximum of 28 days.
We require all vehicles to be returned at an AIDA location at least once every 28 days for inspection in-line with our maintenance and safety procedures.
- Is there a mileage limit?
No, we do not impose any mileage limits. You can drive your AIDA rental vehicle for as many miles as you like.
- What type of insurance do I get with my rental vehicle?
AIDA online rates include compulsory Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) insurance with Excess in compliance with current legislation. CDW insurance with Excess is a third-party insurance which covers the cost of repairing any third-party vehicle(s) involved in an accident beyond the excess amount.
You are fully responsible for any damage up to the excess amount, which depends on the vehicle category and it is clearly displayed during the booking process and on your contract.
Example #1: Your Excess is 800€ and you are involved in an accident causing 2,000€ worth of damage to the vehicle; in this scenario you will only be charged 800€ for repairs which is your maximum responsibility.
Example #2: Your Excess is 800€ and while trying to park you hit the kerb and tear the tyre and damage the wheel causing 200€ worth of damage; in this scenario you will only be charged 200€ for repairs as it is less that your maximum responsibility.
- Can I drive across borders with my rental vehicle?
Crossing a border with your rental vehicle voids all insurances. You will be crossing at your own risk and you will be fully responsible for the safety and condition of the rental vehicle regardless of any insurances and/or waivers purchased as these will all be void.
Please note that AIDA will not be able to provide support on the ground in the occupied areas of North Cyprus, such as breakdown assistance or accident recovery.
YOU HAVE A BOOKING
- Where will you Meet & Greet me when I arrive?
An AIDA team member will be awaiting for you in the arrivals hall next to the designated AIDA meeting point. They will then help you with your luggage and shuttle you to the AIDA vehicle collection station (less than two miles away from the arrivals hall) to complete the collection process and collect your vehicle.
During business hours, please arrive at the location's address at your convinience and an AIDA team member will welcome you. For out-of-hours bookings, any specific instructions will be e-mailed to you prior to the pick-up date; please make sure you arrive at the agreed / booked pick-up time to avoid any inconvinience.
- What happens if my flight is delayed?
We will be there awaiting for you until your flight arrives, given that you have provided us with your flight number.
Please note that if you arrive 2+ hours after your booked pikcup time and this means you will be picking up your vehicle out-of-hours you might be charged an out-of-hours fee.
COLLECTING YOUR VEHICLE
- What do I need to bring when collecting my vehicle?
We require the following before releasing a vehicle to you:
1. Main Driver's Passport or ID Card
2. Driver's License of Main Driver and any Additional Driver(s)
3. Credit Card in the name of the Main Driver
Please note that we will need to block the Excess amount - depends on vehicle category booked - on this card as a security deposit, unless you have purchased a Chillax Pack that reduces your Excess down to zero thus removing the need for a deposit.
